EWIS speakers now available in Australia certified for Australian Standards; line array, ceiling, pendant and more

Mostly, public address and emergency evacuation loudspeakers are like oil and water — they don’t mix and normally run independently. Australis introduces the TOA Voice Alarm Speakers, promising high quality audio along with relevant Australian Standards certification.

In many public buildings, a voice evacuation system in compliance with Australian Standards is mandatory. For this purpose only certified speakers can be used. All speakers in the TOA range, being introduced by Australis, have been certified and comply with Australian Standards for EWIS (Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems); AS ISO 7240.24:2018.

Certification was awarded by BSI, the certifying body, based upon independent laboratory testing, technical specifications of each product and annual review of TOA’s manufacturing and quality control processes.
