Vidyo’s HD and UHD conferencing solutions will be integrated into Barco’s TransForm C enterprise collaboration systems to enable high quality universal VTC communications. The integrated solution is on show at ISE 2015 and expected to be available commercially by the end of March.

The solution provides an alternative to hard-wired VTC platforms with limited collaboration features, providing a cost effective, yet easy-to-use platform that facilitates remote collaboration for briefing centres, boardrooms, crisis response and control rooms. The system uses Vidyo’s technology to translate native VTC streams into low-latency, HD-quality multipoint video conferencing images. Users can configure and display multiple, dynamic VTC windows on a large display wall, integrate meeting room collaboration through the ClickShare one-touch, screen-sharing solution, and control source placement and size through Barco’s TransForm C display management software system.

The TransForm C user interface runs on Barco’s immersive, seamless OverView OSV Series video wall for high-end collaboration spaces, as well as on the OBLX system, which features the OverView KVD or OVD near-seamless LCD panels for mid-range meeting room environments.

“Vidyo’s strengths in mission-critical video collaboration and high-quality video blend perfectly with Barco’s focus on large-scale visualisation to create the ideal, truly immersive collaboration solution,” says Barco product manager Geert Nuyttens.

“The VidyoWorks software platform and APIs allow developers like Barco to embed point-to-point and multipoint video, audio, content sharing, and collaboration inside their own applications, workflows and custom web portals to develop innovative new endpoints like the Barco collaboration solution,” adds Vidyo senior vice president for business development, Michal Raz.

“We are excited to team up with Vidyo on this integration, leveraging our mutual strengths in networked visualisation to create a collaboration solution that fulfills a critical need for robust video conferencing combined with state-of-the-art immersive visualisation,” says Barco’s director of global strategic alliances, Suchit Rout. “Our technologies seamlessly combine to provide a range of high-caliber presentation and collaboration solutions, offering the ideal fit for any company.”
