Optoma ZU650 lamp-free projector

Optoma has launched its new lamp-free ZU650 laser-phosphor professional projector. Designed for ‘fit and forget’ installations, you never have to worry about lamp changes, and maintenance cycles are also reduced. Combined with display and management features, the ZU650 is ideal for all types of installations including lecture theatres, entertainment venues, stage and trade shows, education and houses of worship.

State of the art imaging features include a Colour Matching system for seamless edge blends. The brightness of a projector will vary throughout its lifespan. To correctly match images projected from multiple units, the ZU650 has multiple light source power options to deliver a uniformed brightness level.

Key features include a laser-phosphor light source technology which produces a sealed, mercury-free optical design. This reduces warm-up and cool-down time, as well as a long life light source operation of up to 20,000 hours with minimal maintenance.

The brightness of 6000 lumens can be adjusted to suit your needs. WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution presents sharp detail, particularly on larger commercial screens such as those located in large sports stadiums and entertainment arenas.

Five motorised lens options with automatic zoom and focus make it easy to achieve the desired image size. Using the vertical axis of the ZU650, images can be projected over a full 360° range on a ceiling or floor. Portrait mode is a practical inclusion for digital signage applications or for use on tall, thin projection areas.

HDBaseT connectivity allows the transmission of uncompressed HD video over a CAT5e/6 Ethernet cable. The ZU650 can be monitored over a local area network and alert the end user with an email should an error occur or a light source fail via Crestron RoomView software.

RRP: $22,999.
