CRESTRON SHIPPING RL 2 CODEC

Crestron’s second generation RL 2 previewed at ISE 2015 is a group collaboration solution combining Crestron hardware with Microsoft’s Lync server-based software. RL 2 enables real-time group collaboration on conference room displays rather than on personal laptops, and incorporates video, voice, interactive content sharing, presence, and chat from one touch screen interface.

RL 2 offers a new codec with features including a fully integrated DigitalMedia receiver, native Crestron Fusion connectivity for room monitoring, multiple audio input configurations, and various mounting options. It also comes with Crestron’s TSW-style touch screen controller that allows users to add a Crestron enterprise class 3-Series Control System as well as optional custom elements – display, camera, microphone, and speakers. The new RL 2 and legacy RL systems also now support Skype for Business server upgrades.

Crestron says RL 2 is the only Lync group collaboration system that delivers: a single solution for group collaboration and sharing with Lync meeting participants; a Crestron DigitalMedia input for integration with Crestron’s full suite of remote video transmitters; auto-switching between VGA, HDMI and DM video sources without a separate video switcher outside of a Lync session; analogue mic inputs; the ability to control everything in a room from one touch screen including AV devices, lighting, and shades; and the ability to integrate with Crestron Fusion software, to monitor all connected rooms.

The Integrator Kit includes:

Package 1, designed for huddle spaces, includes:

• New Crestron RL 2 codec
• TS-1051-C touch screen
• Camera
• All-in-one speakerphone
• Cables and under-table mounting hardware
• 32-inch touch display

Package 2, designed for small and medium conference rooms, includes:

• New Crestron RL 2 codec
• TS-1051-C touch screen
• Sound bar, camera, and USB mic
• Cables and mounting hardware
• Choice of one or two 60-inch touch displays with wall mount or stand

Package 3, designed for large rooms, includes:

• New Crestron RL 2 codec
• TS-1051-C touch screen
• Sound bar, camera, and USB mic
• Choice of one or two 70-inch touch displays with wall mount or stand, or one or two 80-inch touch displays with stands
