About the Role
Group Technologies is seeking an experienced and focused Commercial Sales Manager to lead the growth of our Commercial Audio division across Australia.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role is responsible for driving commercial sales strategy, developing key industry relationships, identifying major project opportunities, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across GT’s portfolio of professional and commercial audio brands.
The Commercial Sales Manager will work closely with systems integrators, consultants, end users, architects, builders, and project stakeholders to influence specifications, create demand, and position GT as the preferred technology partner for commercial audio solutions.
This is a senior customer-facing role requiring strong commercial acumen, technical understanding, leadership capability, and an extensive industry network.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets across the commercial audio market.
- Drive market demand and brand awareness for GT’s commercial and professional audio portfolio.

- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting.
Relationship Management
- Establish and strengthen relationships with:

- End Users and Corporate Clients
- Act as a senior commercial contact for project opportunities and strategic customer accounts.
- Conduct regular customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
Project Development & Specification
- Work proactively with consultants and project stakeholders to secure product specifications.
- Identify opportunities during design, tender, and construction phases.
- Support partners with system design, product selection, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Collaborate with GT’s technical and sales teams to deliver best-in-class commercial audio solutions.
Commercial Strategy
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
- Contribute to portfolio planning and go-to-market strategies for new products and brands.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to senior management and brand partners.
- Support the development of sales programs, promotional initiatives, and strategic account plans.
Brand Representation
- Represent Group Technologies at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and customer engagements.
- Deliver product presentations, training sessions, and educational seminars to consultants, integrators, and end users.
- Assist the marketing team with case studies, product launches, and industry communications.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in commercial sales, business development, or account management within the Audio Visual, Professional Audio, or related technology industries.
- Demonstrated success in developing and closing commercial project opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the commercial AV ecosystem, including consultants, integrators, builders, and end users.
- Proven ability to influence specifications and secure project-based sales opportunities.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing sales forecasts and revenue targets.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results driven.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
Highly Desirable
- Existing network of commercial AV consultants, systems integrators, and end-user relationships.
- Experience working with premium professional audio brands.
- Knowledge of commercial audio system design and integration methodologies.
- Experience managing national or multi-state customer accounts.
