Your Role:
Based in the rapidly expanding hub of the north-western Sydney CBD, this is a great opportunity to grow as a part of the AV & ICT industry. Reporting into the Lead Consultant, you will become a key figure in our business by leading the design, co-ordination and logistics associated with both small and large-scale projects, predominantly in the following areas:
- Provide Audio Visual and Unified Communications solutions from concept through to construction;
- Create project technical documentation including specifications, system drawings, pricing information, elevations and architectural layouts;
- Attend sales meetings, design and coordination meetings, partner meetings, and site inspections to enable the client in conceptualising their long-term vision for their technology and guiding their investments into the future with up to date advice;
- Collaborate with the team to assist in driving business development opportunities for the department, and work alongside our other departments in progressing the strategic goals of the business;
- Assess project change, update project management systems and quote adjustments accordingly and ensure project milestones are met;
- Actively communicating and meeting with clients, tradespeople and other stakeholders to ensure projects are exceeding expectations;
- Handle order management: Bill of Materials, Project Schedules, Project Budgets, Project Controls, work orders;
- Manage administrative tasks, including coordination of service and relevant supply agreements as required.
The role will have the option to work some days from home, with 7 days a fortnight in the office, and travel required occasionally to collaborate with team members and visit client sites locally, regionally and interstate.
Your Background:
To be considered for this position you will have the following:
Essential
- Qualifications in AV System Design, Audio Engineering, Sound Production, Project Management, Engineering, ICT, or similar. This will be coupled with multi-year experience in the management, design and consulting of technology projects;
- 3-5 years experience as a Consultant or Solutions Architect, or 5-6 years as a Systems Integration engineer or Pre-sales Designer
- Practical knowledge and understanding of devices that underpin complete Audio Visual solutions in modern network-enabled contexts;
- Self-driven individual who is results-orientated and focused on opportunities and solutions;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects with a large focus on attention to detail;
- A demonstrable customer-centric approach with the ability to initiate, build, and maintain strong and lasting relationships with technical and non-technical personnel as a trusted advisor;
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and Drafting experience (AutoCAD, Visio, BlueBeam, or similar).
- National WHS General Construction Induction Training
Desired
- A demonstrated understanding of unified communication room technology;
- Experience with Crestron, Qsys, Biamp, Extron, Zoom, Neat, Polycom, Logi, Cisco, AMX, and Microsoft Teams;
- Extra certification such as CISCO, AVIXA CTS or CTS-D, PRINCE2 or similar;
- Hands-on experience from integration projects including an ability to assist with system commissioning and fault finding
- Sound system design and audio commissioning (EASE, Smaart, NTI)
- Experience in designing and providing ongoing guidance for broadcasting technology, including digital solutions and emerging tools for engaging with large audiences.
- Working with Children check, current first aid, and test and tag certification are not essential but desirable.
