LCI is seeking an AV Consultant based at our Sydney office or any of our other Australian locations, with a hybrid work arrangement. We are an engineering design house specialising in building engineering services. We employ over 270 staff within six offices across Australia. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who can think out of the box and have a natural tendency to contribute to collaborative problem solving in a multi-disciplinary environment. The ideal candidate is:
- Passionate about delivering and implementing high-quality engineering designs focused on user experience
- Self-driven with a thirst for knowledge. The fast-changing technologies require AV specialists to learn continuously to stay on top of market trends
- Will have graduated with an engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics or Telecommunication. Other qualifications will be considered for the right person.
THE AUDIO VISUAL CONSULTANT ROLE
AV consultants are technical specialists working as part of the building services engineering team. The role is focused on the design and specification of sound systems, video conferencing solutions, digital signage and IPTV distributions as well as display and camera products. It covers active network specification, cybersecurity and smart building platforms.
This role involves:
- liaising with architects, interior designers, building services engineers and equipment manufacturers on daily basis
- project and technology management
- preparation of technical documentation: drawings, system specification, bill of materials and schematics
- construction site inspection
The projects you will be involved include workplaces, theatres & performance venues, sports stadiums, Universities, hotels, health facilities and many others!
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time-management skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read construction drawings, use drafting software such as AutoCad and have a White Card are desirable but not mandatory, as you will be trained on the job.
